Avinguda del Portal d'Angel
I arrived on Catalunya Plaza from which I went to one of Barcelona's main shopping streets, Avinguda del Portal d'Angel. In this street you'll find shops such as Pull & Bear, Zara, H&M, Mango, Stradivarius, etc. The first shop I ran into was the Pull & Bear and I love that shop. They have great, fashionable clothing for a reasonable price. So yes, I bought a lot of clothing there. I also bought two shirts at Stradivarius. I have to add that it smells great in that shop! It sounds strange, but it really does.
Las Ramblas
I walked further to Las Ramblas. This is the busiest street in Barcelona with a lot of souvenirshops and restaurants. I went there to go to Pastisseria Escriba. They sell this amazing chocolat here. I bought hot chocolate with caramelised violets. The violets where different. I don't know if I liked it or not. But the chocolat underneath it was delicious! I decided to buy some bonbons for my family too. It was a small box with 15 little bonbons and it cost me 20 euros. So that's quite expensive.
El Corte Inglés
After my visit to Escriba I walked back to Placa Catalunya to take a last stop at El Corte Inglés, which is a big department store. You can find everything here, from food to cosmetics to clothing to houseware. It's not cheap, but especially the cosmetics section is worth a look. You can find all sorts of brands here, such as MAC, Chanel, Helena Rubinstein and Nina Ricci.
From here I went back to Malgrat de Mar by train.
Last tip
If you've never visited Barcelona before, make sure you go and see some cultural stuff too. You have to take a look at Sagrada Familia, Park Güell and Casa Mila.
